A passion for peace
Tell us about yourself, who are you, describe yourself? I hated being asked these questions. I would say I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, physician assistant, and on and on. However, these words do not describe who I am, they describe what my role is in relationship to people around me. And sometimes they feel like just that, a role as a character that I put on for others in this play of life. Plaster on a smile for my role as Mom, employee, wife, daughter, etc., wave, work hard, keep going, keep pushing, keep smiling until I collapse onto my pillow that night to do it all again tomorrow. This is not who I am or who I was meant to be. Who would I be if I lost one of these roles? Listen up, my identity and your identity is not found in the roles we play.
So then, who am I?
I am Angela, period. I am forever changing, evolving, learning, and living. My successes and more so my failures have shaped me into the person I am today. Through this blog I hope to continue to discover new parts of myself and help inspire you to discover your true self as well. As we go on this journey together, may you cry, laugh, be inspired, learn hard lessons, and most of all learn to make peace with your pieces.
